We gather in service, collecting goods for the financially vulnerable, assisting the teachers and students at Powell Butte Elementary to prepare for the school year, and sharing our collective financial resources.
Breaking Bread Ministries Pantry on most Fridays from 2-4 is another way of reaching out to the community. We get to know our guests on a first name basis and everyone is treated equally and with respect. The goal is to provide food for most days of the week until their return the following week.
The church members also work with IRCO to provide a summer food pantry for families from the school and local neighbors. We also provide assistance with the school during the school year to send food home on the weekends for 18 children.
We practice generosity with our neighbors, knowing that the gospel is Good News for all people. And we practice grace knowing that it was God who invited us to the table so that we might be able to welcome all others.
